PositioningSDK Getting Started

The positioning library provides location tracking capabilities using various location sources. This section covers everything you need to know to get started with positioning.

Location Sources​

A Location Source is a system used to track user position.

To use any location source, you must have a mapID and token. For more details, please contact the Wemap team.

To set a specific location source, you need to:

  • Add the relevant WemapPositioningSDK library to your project dependencies. Check instructions
  • Fetch MapData using your mapID and token. Check instructions
  • Create a LocationSource using MapData.
  • Assign the location source to the Map or to GeoAR view. Or start it if you're using it with third-party Map or AR system.
